For those who asked for it here it is!  The recipe for the toffee that I brought on Sunday.  I used my own cook book to make it and was dreading having to type it all into an e-mail.  Thankfully Better Homes and Gardens' website had the exact recipe and even the same picture to go with it so that I was 100% sure that it was the one that I used.
