For those of you who missed out many events of Labor Day, I figured I'd give you a run down of what ended up happening!
Sunday night was hang out at Mike and Val's! Depew was back again, Grandpa brought James and Josh over, and Ryan and Suzie came over too. We hung out and watched football (tis the season) and then Grandpa went home. We played Ticket to Ride (Josh enjoyed the XBox by himself) and Eryn managed to sleep through it all. She actually slept for 15 hours in a row! Eryn woke up taller!
Depew and James stayed the night here and in the morning we were off to hike the Y. Brooke hated it from the first few feet. I wasn't going to make it with her so upset and my sore back so she and I came back down almost right away. Eryn was distracted by the views from the mountain and turned around and said, "I want to go home." Mike agreed with her that was best. Always next year! James made it almost the whole way with Depew following a few turns behind. Since they had no water, they came back down before making it all the way to the top also. Oh well. We tried, right?
Swimming was fun! Ryan had to go to work, but Suzie let us hang out and swim. Her Brother-In-Law and his 3 boys were there too. Eryn really wanted to be in the bubbles in the hot tub, but it was too hot! The pool was nice and cool and the hot tub was HOT! I made a rare appearance in the pool and Brooke slept in her car seat in the shade. Josh supervised the hot tub area for us and James was busy throwing tennis balls with Suzie and her other nephews. Mike, of course, was busy keeping Eryn content and trying to convince me to float. (Maybe next year!)
Our BBQ was fast! Well, some of us were late and that made it even faster! Sam and Chelsie brought the girls and Andrew down for a visit and Sarah and Chance were there for awhile too. Football was on, so there wasn't much interaction, but the guys were all super happy to watch some of the taped BYU game again together and celebrate again!
Chelsie and I were busy trying to convince Grandma to go red in the dinning room. She's trying to back out, so feel free to help persuade her! I mentioned how a new light fixture with more bulbs would really brighten up the room (even with darker walls). We shall see...
So, over all a great weekend! No exactly as planned, but still good. There are some swimming pictures on my blog. -VAL

You mean you have to CONVINCE mom to go RED on something? Wow, that's a first. I think it's a good idea....maybe just on 2 walls though:/
